L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara

L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara

L’Oreal really did well by this mascara. For me personally it is very lengthening and builds the volume really nicely. The brush is not too big that you don’t have good control but not to small that it takes forever to build up! It is not really a wet mascara, it is just right.
I got mine at Target for about 6 dollars. It is also fantastic with other mascaras but it even looks pretty good alone. I usually use it with my CoverGirl Lash Blast because that wand separates my lashes really well for me. It is super dark and stays dark even after it dries.  Defiantly a must have mascara! Influester Mom Vox Box:

This box is simply AMAZING!!!

This Mom Vox Box included:
Ivory Bar Soap
DenTek Comfort Clean & Fun Flosseres
Stash Tea Superfruits Tea Sampler and Nektar Sweetener
Quaker Soft Baked Cookies
Impress Press-on manicure by Broadway Nails

Quaker Soft Baked Cookies: Super delicious! My family also agreed it was amazing! It has the consistency of a muffin but in a cookie form. Really good grab and go breakfast!

Ivory Soap: So extra gentle and sensitive! It’s such a basic to have in a house hold. Always good to have a few extras lying around the house!

Dentek Comfort Clean & Fun Flossers: I have been using these flossers for years and will always choose and recommend them over regular dental loss because they are so much easier to use! The fun ones are great for kids!

Stash Tea Superfruits tea Sampler and Nektar Sweetener: I have been buys stash tea for a while now but I have only bought the Green tea (my favorite)! When I saw they have flavored tea I was questioning if they would have a fake flavor, and be artificial tasting. Honestly they are pretty good and have a strong fruit flavor. I think they would be best in iced tea for more than hot. The Nektar Sweetener is supposed to be like dried honey. I couldn’t taste a difference at all. It didn’t sweeten my tea. I would rather just use regular honey. Maybe if you added multiple packets it would be better but one packet didn’t do anything.

Quaker Soft Baked Cookies: This breakfast cookie is fantastic. They taste delicious and they are super soft! It tastes like a compressed muffin. Also they are very large so you will feel full after just one. Really great for on the go and small enough to throw in your bag.

Impress Press-on Manicure By Broadway nails: I was really excited to try these out from what I heard from beauty gurus on YouTube. Mine were in this soft purple shade. They were super easy to put on and they have a lot of sizes. They are about 5-8 dollars. The best part is you don’t have to wait for nail polish to dry. I found out that the stickers on the bottom are kind of hard to peel off and I felt like several times I was bending the nail. Just go really slow and it will work better. For me they didn’t last very long. After washing my hands once I lost a nail. They didn’t feel super stuck on and I feel like they looked fake because they weren’t flesh with my nail bed because of the lump of glue underneath. I mean they aren’t a horrible product and I might repurchase later on but I wasn’t blown away by them.

Revlon Colorstay Whipped - Crème Makeup

Revlon Colorstay Whipped - Crème Makeup

$10.00 - $14.00 most drugs stores

Supposedly 24 hr wear

My Color 150 buff the lightest shade

0.8 Fl. Oz. 237 ml.

On the bottom of the bottle there was a white round stick and when I unfolded it there was a description of the product. This is what it says…

The Ingredients

Wears up to 24 hours. Talc-free and paraben-free buildable to full coverage.

Bouncy, whipped formula feels ultra-light and silky smooth.

Now my thoughts…

Last year I tried the Revlon Colorstay Liquid Foundation. I loved the coverage but felt that it was really heavy for all over my face. So I used it more as a concealer. The whipped foundation has the coverage of the Colorstay liquid but is light on the skin. It is very smooth and easy to work with. I find that it works best with my fingers and then blending it all out with a flat top brush.

The first time I wore it I only had a moisturizer on my skin, no primer, and I didn’t set it with a powder. Usually within 1 to 2 hours my nose and for head are pretty oily with powders. Even without powder I was matte! After the 4th hour my nose looked like it had just a slight glow. So oily skinned people, this is a dream come true! It covers up my very red cheeks and acne scars with one thin layer. I did 2 layers and it still looks like skin, just flawless. It made my skin look very even and smooth like all my pores where gone. It dried to a powdery feeling and was not at all sticky on my skin. I am very impressed with this foundation! The packaging is not my favorite. The glass jar is large and looks nice on the vanity but to travel it’s just too big. It’s also kind of messy.

The inside of the lid has the makeup on it which I think looks messy. If it was in a pump bottle or a squeeze tube I think I would be one of the best drug store foundations ever. It does have a white plastic cap that fits very snugly to the top so it does not dry out which is a nice feature to the packaging.

They don’t have that many colors. The display I saw at Target has about 6 or 7 colors. So if you are medium to very dark skin tone you may have a hard time getting a shade. Maybe after a few months they will get more colors. Also I wanted to mention the colors may not be the same as the Colorstay liquid so if you have used Colorstay, be careful getting the whipped because they might have different names.

Now with the whole 24 hr part, I don’t know why someone would need a full face of makeup for 24 hours but I do believe this would hold up that long. You may need a powder, primer, or blotting sheets depending on your skin type, if you try to wear it that long. I wouldn’t recommend wearing makeup for that long though. Here are the pictures before I even touched it.

Face Secrets Facial Cleansing Brush

Face Secrets Facial Cleansing Brush

$2.19 at Sally’s Beauty Supply

I use this with facial cleansers to exfoliate my face, neck, and chest. It’s very gentle. It feels like a baby hair brush. It has soft bristles and they are very bendable. I have used it with another more intense face exfoliator and together they are very intense but my skin can handle that. My skin is acne prone so I have been using this every other day in the evenings. It has really been beneficial to my skin. I stay away from my eye area because the skin there is so thin and fragile this brush would be to a bit too rough. It also has a clear cap to go over the brush head but mine didn’t fit on the brush so it just fell off. Maybe mine was broken but it would be nice to keep it clean and safe from dust and what not with that.
